This is as close as I got to the purchase of a Lendrum at
Earth Guild in Asheville.
Erik and I took a last second trip to Maggie Valley to stay with Julie’s family
while she on the hunt for yak yarns in Nepal. He had a full day of
snowboarding and I had a full day of yarn crawling and a visit to Biltmore Estate.
I picked up some sock yarn at Yarn Paradise in Biltmore village. The roving came from Earth Guild where I ogled the spinning wheels.
My last completed project for 2006 is the pair of Hippy
Crunchy socks, knit at our New Years party under the influence. Kitchener stitch
is a challenge after multiple glasses of Henkell Sekt. I persevered and here
they are!
I am now knitting furiously on the Debbie Bliss “Split Cable
Top”. Unfortunately I have come to the conclusion that I might be a few skeins
short. I have 4 balls left and my first sleeve is less than half done. My plea for more has been posted on KnitList.
The last 2 days have been spent working on my WIP’s and catching up on months of podcasts. Here is to a productive and Happy New Year!
